Fashion Mall

The new look Galleria will see the transformation of the Fashion Mall, featuring nearly 100 stores, including a curated selection of Australia’s most popular brands. 

The Terrace

A vibrant indoor-outdoor dining and entertainment precinct will boast a contemporary tavern and an exciting selection of new dining experiences.

What is happening at Galleria?

The circa $240m redevelopment will deliver new retail experiences, entertainment spaces, and vibrant dining options for our local community.

We’re enhancing our fashion and youth retail offering to include some of the nation's most iconic brands, as well as introducing a new alfresco dining area, known as The Terrace. Located adjacent to the existing Cinema site, The Terrace will bring fresh energy and connection to the heart of the centre.

What do the redevelopment works include?

Key features of the redevelopment include:

  • A complete revitalisation of the Fashion and Lifestyle Mall, and future home to nearly 100 of Australia’s most loved brands
  • Introduction of The Terrace - a vibrant new alfresco dining, entertainment and lifestyle precinct
  • Major upgrades to Centre Court and the introduction of new casual dining options
How long will the redevelopment take?

Completion is expected by the end of 2026.

Will the centre close for the redevelopment?

Galleria will remain open throughout the redevelopment. 

All supermarkets including Woolworths, Coles and Aldi, along with Myer, Kmart, Target and specialty stores such as Rebel, will continue trading as usual. For best parking and centre access, visit our Parking page

What is the total redevelopment cost?

The total construction cost for this stage is approximately $240 million.

Why has it taken so long to start the redevelopment?

There are several factors that have contributed, largely out of our control, and we acknowledge that progress has taken longer than we would have liked.

Western Australia has experienced a significant construction boom, driven by major government infrastructure and health projects. This has led to a shortage of construction partners for complex, private projects as well as labour resource shortages and supply chain issues.

Will car parks and mall entrances be affected?

Yes, some areas of the car park and one centre entry will be temporarily closed.

Wayfinding signage, and our friendly customer service team will be on hand to help guide your journey

Will restrooms and parents amenities be affected?

A number of restrooms and parents rooms will be refurbished, and as such will be closed.

Restrooms near Australia Post will remain open and include Women’s, Men’s and Accessible facilities. The Parents Room will also remain open.

Temporary restrooms for Men and Women, along with change table facilities, will also be available near Coles.

Which new retailers will open at Galleria?

The refreshed retail mix will welcome nearly 100 new stores, including a curated selection of Australia’s most popular brands. Shoppers can look forward to an improved fashion, youth and electronics offering, alongside a vibrant new dining and entertainment precinct.

Will there be a cinema in the new Galleria?

Yes, a new cinema is planned for the revitalised entertainment precinct as part of Galleria’s circa $240 million transformation. We look forward to sharing more details as plans progress and thank the community for their continued support.

What are the plans for the food court?

Dining at Galleria is shifting toward a more destination-focused experience. Fast food and restaurant options will relocate closer to the Cinema, creating a vibrant precinct that brings dining and entertainment together. 

The existing food court area will welcome new fashion, youth and electronics retailers.
