There are snippets of flora and fauna throughout the mural. Within the warm tones you’ll find a cockatoo, Eastern Great Egret, banksias, grevillea, kangaroo’s grazing as well as the tracks of the dingo, goanna and emu.

The cool tones are snippets of life within the wetlands featuring the long-necked turtle, samphire, bulrush, sedge, freshwater crayfish, freshwater mussels and a fishing basket.

Developed in consultation with Jade’s family and students from Hampton Senior High School, this artwork is a snippet of the ancient wetland ecosystem. This site was and continues to be an important gathering place for food, family, and culture.
