We are right in the thick of winter now! Summer, oh but a distant memory! (Much like the first half of this year – would you agree?) So, what better time to get in centre and spruce up your wardrobe with those ever-lasting staple items?
Budget-savvy tips for updating your winter wardrobe:
Winter staple #1
Winter knits – ideally wool or merino to really keep the warmth in. Find your new warm knit from Suzanne Grae, W.Lane, Sportsgirl, Jaqui E & Sussan.
Winter staple #2
Casual Winter Coat – let’s face it, we’ll still be dressing in active-wear in Winter! So why not layer with a casual puffer coat. We’ve spotted some great ones from City Chic, Katies, Dotti and for the men why not check out Connor.
Winter staple #3
Classic Blue Jeans – it’s a no brainer that you may already have jeans in your wardrobe but why not select another pair in a different shade of blue as well. Straight Leg, Skinny, High Waisted – take your pick at Just Jeans, Jay Jays and Cotton on.
Winter staple #4
Crisp White Shirt – you can’t go wrong with a timeless fitted white shirt, great for layering and a handy trans-seasonal piece that you can wear in the warmer months too. We think the best shirts are from Myer, Witchery, Tony Barlow & yd.
Winter staple #5
Classic Leather Jacket – whether real or faux, it will keep out the cold wind and doesn’t look like out-door gear (we all like to have a throw-on stylish piece)! For your leather or leather-like look, try Jays Jays, Ally Fashion or Decujba.
Winter Staple #6
These boots were made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do, even if it is just around your friend’s house at dinner or home. Winter boots are, and will always be, the favourite pick during cold spells. Get a wide variety of footwear from Williams, Betts, Midas, Spendless Shoes and Novo.
What are you waiting for? Head in centre now, your future self will thank you.
